No. 1 draft pick David Price speaks to Bisons baseball fans

Dec. 14, 2007

David Price, the No.1 pick in this summer's Major League Baseball Draft by the Tampa Bay Rays, was the featured speaker at this month's Forehand and Friends Lunch.

Price, a standout for the Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team, was interviewed by Jonathan Seamon, the voice of Bisons baseball who made the swtich to baseball for a day.

Price talked about his experiences in making the transition from college player to professional player.

He also reminded the Bisons fans that his first collegiate victory as a pitcher was against Lipscomb.

The lunches are held monthly. Previous speakers this year have been Lipscomb Hall of Fame member Steve Liddle, the bench coach for the Minnesota Twins; and pitcher R.A. Dickey, a Winter Meetings draft pick by the Seattle Mariners.
