The Lipscomb Bisons golf team opened the season with a sixth place finish in the Wasioto Winds Fall Kick-Off at the Pine Mountain State Park in Pineville, Ky.

The 10-team tournament was hosted by Morehead State University.

The Bisons were led by Cody Hale, who tied for fourth with a score of 209 for the two-day, 54-hole event. Hale shot rounds of 71 and 68 Monday and closed out with a 70 Tuesday. Hale, who chose to red-shirt last season, finished four strokes behind the leader.

As a team the Bisons shot 884 with rounds of 294, 289 and 301.

Parker Beck tied for 21st with a 221 (71, 74, 76). Cory Parkinson tied for 33rd with a score of 225 (77, 72, 76). Clint Suggs tied for 46th with a score of 229 (75, 75, 79).

Rounding out the field for the Bisons was Andrew Brock, finishing 58th with a score of 238 (81, 76, 81).
