High School: Garrett McLaughlin, 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, was an All-District team selection in 2005 and 2006 and All-Region in 2006 as a defender at Belton High School in Belton, Texas. He was the captain of his 2007 team this spring. He was a three-year letter winner in soccer. He also lettered in football in 2005 and 2006. In 2006 he was named Defensive Most Valuable Player in his district. Belton was the District and Area champion in 2006.

His parents are Lori and Travis McLaughlin. He plans to major in education at Lipscomb.
