Final Stats

The Lipscomb Bisons placed two members on the South Carolina-Tennessee Challenge All-Tournament team this past weekend.

Both senior forward Ben Page and freshman midfielder Angel Chairez were selected.

The Bisons lost 4-1 to Wofford Friday and 3-1 to No. 16-rated Furman Sunday at the Stone Soccer Stadium.

The Bisons scored on their only shot on goal by freshman forward Miguel DaSilva. DaSilva scored his ninth goal of the season, a new school record off of a long kick from goalkeeper Jake Goergen who earned an assist.

DaSilva's goal was the first of the game at 12:11 of the first half.

Furman then scored three unanswered goals with two in the first half and one in the second.

The Bisons were out shot 18-10. Furman also held a 9-1 advantage in shots on goal.

Goergen made six saves for the Bisons.

Furman is 15-3-0. Lipscomb is 5-11-3.

The Bisons do not play against until they head to the Atlantic Sun Tournament in DeLand, Fla., Nov. 14. They are the No. 4 seed and will play No. 5 Belmont in the first round.
