Lipscomb's men's and women's cross country teams compete in the Vanderbilt Commodore Classic Saturday at Vaughn's Gap in Percy Warner Park. The men's 8-K race starts at 9am. The women's 5-K race follows at 10am.

The Commodore meet will be the second of the season for the teams and the first at the traditional cross country distances of 8-K and 5-K.

Lipscomb will host the 2007 A-Sun Conference Championship meet on this same course and configuration on October 27th.

"It is really nice to get experience running the exact course we will compete on at the conference championships," said head coach Bill Taylor. "It's great for our teams and our fans, and provides focus for our end of the season goals."
